Henry Isaacs, plein air painter extraordinaire, travels across the country painting the landscape. He translates his love of nature with an inspiring energy and passion onto his canvases. He has painted the far reaches of the Allegheny Mountains and the Warm Springs Valley, hiking up mountains and trekking across meadows, exploring Virginia’s backcountry.

Isaacs received degrees in painting and printmaking from the Rhode Island School of Design and the Slade School of Fine Art, University College London. He has taught art in Britain, Italy, and the U.S., and maintains a home and studio in Vermont.

Works by Henry Isaacs have been placed in public and corporate institutions as well as in private collections across the country. Universities, law firms, conference centers, banks and individuals have commissioned paintings and drawings of specific locations. For more information please visit www.henryisaacs.com

Workshop
Henry Isaacs workshops nurture individual success and personal enrichment with an emphasis on personal painting projects. He will share his knowledge and techniques with a “hands-on” approach, which includes demonstrations, individual instruction and mentoring, group discussions and critiques. He will encourage participants to directly engage with nature, experiment, and above all enjoy the painting process.

A highly energized painting workshop emphasizing loose and creative experimentation. Designed for the professional painter as well as for the novice, Henry’s positive approach towards the act of painting will inspire you to loosen up, have fun and paint! Expect a lively workshop where you will create many works of art using spontaneity for maximum effect. All instruction will take place en plein air.
