Kevin Beck

Kevin Beck is a pastel and oil painter living in the mountains of North Carolina. He began studying art as a child at the Canton Art Institute, Canton, Ohio. Though not formally trained in an academic tradition, Kevin continued his journey in art by studying with other artists whose work and skills he admires.

Beck has been featured in Pastel Artist International Magazine, Our State Magazine, Spectator Magazine, Life Styles Magazine, and Carolina Mountain Living, and numerous local, state and regional publications. He’s paintings are included in the Blowing Rock Art and History Museum Catalogue and one of his oil paintings, Grandfather Profile in the Mist will be included in a soon-to-be-published book, Mountains and Memories by Robert McGrath, University of Chicago Press.

Kevin is widely collected in the Southeastern United States, with additional collectors in Canada, Europe and New Zealand, where he has traveled extensively. He’s included in the corporate collections of Blue Cross Blue Shield, Wachovia and Suntrust Banks. Individual collectors include presidents of Fortune 500 companies, a U.S. senator, and the American Ambassador to Denmark. He is represented by galleries in North Carolina, Maryland, Michigan, Tennessee, and Virginia.

Today Kevin is one of the Southeast’s most collected artists. He is celebrated for his vibrant plein air pastels that resonate with the soul of the landscape.
